Poem: Rainbows - Twenty-Four of 30 #NaPoWriMo

In the desert, rain is an enigma;
Gift and curse, sky-dropped
Refreshment, swirling

Floods flash unexpected
In the safety of the cactus,
Bird huddles, thorn avoided
Rainbows pierce the early
Morning sunrise
